While they were in their nearest town to buy necessities, they rarely left the farm. In fact, they have never visited the capital, London, in their entire lives!
They may go to a nearby town for snacks and a newspaper, but they mostly stay at home. They grow all their food and cut their wood for warmth. They attribute their simple life to why they are so happy together.
According to the Mirror, the couple get up at 6 a.m. to run errands. They raised cattle but decided to sell them due to Steve’s continuing health issues. They keep cats, dogs and donkeys on the farm.
The two lovebirds have even received offers to sell their very expensive land, but they would prefer to live there for the rest of their lives. We can’t blame them!
Jenny says money means nothing to them.
“Money means nothing to us,” she said. “Everything goes. In our time, people ask us why we don’t retire but we never will.”
The Greens got married at St Mary’s Church four decades ago and then spent a very modest honeymoon just 80 kilometers away. Since then, the couple has not ventured further.
“We are happier with our life and its simplicity. We don’t want to change anything.” said Jenny.
It is very rare to see such love and devotion these days. We love and admire that these two never let technology or money get in the way of their true love. We only wish them the best!
