Many men underestimate the pain of childbirth, and some have even dared to claim that the process is easy to bear. The husband told this lie recently and found out how wrong he was.
Michael Richardson, a father of four, accepted the challenge of being tied to a birth simulator after repeatedly telling his wife that the birth wasn’t as difficult as the women claim.
Jodi has been married to Michael for 12 years and was on hand to record the moment and then post it on social media.
Viewers find the look on Michael’s face hilarious when the first simulated contractions let him take their toll. It gets worse from there and soon Michael writhes in pain as the contractions get stronger.
Judy laughs out loud when her husband can only stand the pain for a few seconds before he starts to reach for the wires attached to the device causing him pain.
When Michael couldn’t unplug the machine, he dashed with his legs and begged Judy to stop the simulator.
Michael later admitted to the Daily Mail that the pain was worse than he had imagined. He said the pain was tolerable at first but quickly got worse. Soon, he said, he felt like he was being stabbed in his stomach and groin. Michael says the machine was only five when he decided he couldn’t take it anymore.
Michael says he has a newfound respect for what women go through during childbirth. He also retracts all the insensitive comments he’s made about the process over the years. Michael was clear in saying that he would never engage in an experience like this again.
Michael added, “I feel sorry for women during childbirth. I will never whine again to my wife.”
Jodi shared the video online and friends of the couple found it funny. They also congratulate Michael for taking on the challenge.
The revelation only shows that there are areas where women have more power than men. Michael is a man who no longer argues this fact.
