They were wrong. As National Geographic reports, they discovered something completely unexpected in an ancient setting in the middle of nowhere. That was the last thing they expected to see – an adorable little puppy.
The guys think that someone left the black and white pup there to die a horrific death. There was no food or water nearby, and the pup was in pain. Alex and Cedar gave the groaning pup some water and something to eat. Soon he began to regain his strength.
Of course, once they rescued the dog, they couldn’t leave him alone. They brought the pup with them for the rest of their journey as a talisman. As for its name, they chose “Sufferpup” to accompany their adventure.
With food, water, and love, Sufferpup regained strength and gave lifeguards plenty of hugs throughout their journey together. Even though his previous owner abandoned him, he still had a lot of affection to offer.
When Alex and Cedar finished Sufferfest, they took their responsibility to their four-legged friend very seriously. They didn’t want to be like the person he had abandoned, so they found him a loving home in Boulder, Colorado. Sufferpup is now big, strong, and healthy – and still grateful to the men who saved him.
