Recently, a woman gave birth to a child in a French nightclub, and the owners allowed the child free admission for life. The young mother gave birth to the baby on the disco dance floor as she was out for a night of fun.

According to the French newspaper La Dépêche, the birth took place around 5:30 a.m. on November 11. The nightclub was O’Club, a nightclub located in the south of France.

The pregnant teenager was said to be in a lot of pain and decided a night out on the town was a good way to distract herself from the discomfort. It hadn’t occurred to the young woman that her pain might be due to the onset of labor.

The teenage cramps started late one night at the disco and, luckily for her, the club staff took quick action to help calm her down and get her into a comfortable position to have the baby. “We had to react very quickly,” club manager Marie Helen told the French media’s website. “The girl didn’t panic, but she was worried.”

Mary Helen said the birth took place at 5:30 a.m., when the club closed. “There weren’t many people left, and a member of staff came up to me and said, ‘It’s urgent,'” Mary Helen recalled to the newspaper.

The director immediately realized that the teenager was about to give birth, but there was not enough time to take her to the hospital, so they had to act quickly. A nightclub worker called the medical helpline for advice as they helped the teenager give birth.

“The positive thing is we didn’t freak out, we didn’t freak out,” she said.

The teenager was one of the last people to leave the club because she couldn’t walk. Apparently, her friend suggested she go out for fun because she’s been having some personal issues lately.

The teenager gave birth to a healthy baby boy before paramedics arrived. “It’s definitely one of the weirdest lockdowns we’ve ever done,” said Mary Helen.

She hopes the young mother will keep in touch with the club about the child’s progress and says that when the child reaches drinking age they have “free entry for life”.
