Nicole Popeck lived with her daughter and tended to be late for school. After this had happened several times, Bubeck felt that school administrators needed a proper explanation for her daughter’s excessive tardiness.
The mother decided to reveal why her daughter was always late, so she wrote a note to the school explaining that her daughter Cara had a “teenage streak.”
The note went on to explain the symptoms of this disease. In an amusing way, Bobek explained Kara’s inability to get out of bed in the morning. She also noted that Kara tends to respond to the person who gave birth to her.
Bubeck said her daughter appears to be recovering now after having to watch her phone fly out of a car window. She asked the school to contact her if the condition returned.
According to the Daily Mail, the text of the memo is as follows:
To whom it May concern:
Kara was late this morning due to a condition known as adolescence. Adolescents in our great country suffer from diseases for which there is no known cure.
Symptoms are manifold, but that morning she struggled with not being able to get out of bed and also feeling the need to talk to her purse again.
She appears to have come to her senses after seeing her cell phone fly out of the car window. Please call if there is another flare-up.
