Tiffany Urban called 911 to order pizza. The sender immediately told her that she had called the wrong number.

Sender: Did you call 911 to order pizza? ?

Tiffany: No, no, no. you do not understand …

Then Tiffany told the dispatcher that he misunderstood the call. She gave him the address and the apartment number. At this point, the sender realized something was wrong. Then a police car was dispatched to the location provided by Tiffany.

Unfortunately, Tiffany’s mother was hit by her boyfriend. She was allegedly beaten and hit a wall in the apartment. The police arrived on the scene and detained the friend before things got worse.

The dispatcher has undergone specialized training to respond to these emergency calls. Most missionaries do not receive the necessary training. The sender indicated that they may not have handled the call correctly. This information is scary.

We hope that the reports of the incident will lead the police to provide dispatchers with the necessary training. Rejecting domestic violence and other emergency calls can be tragic.
