Surrounded by actors dressed as Batman, Robin, Catwoman and many other well-known characters from the cult TV series, Burt was thrilled to welcome the Walk of Fame star on Jan. 9, as reported here on ABC7 news.
The role of a fiery superhero, which ran from 1966 to 1968, was a dream come true for Bert, who was 21 when the series began.
Now 74, Burt joked about receiving the coveted recognition: “It’s only been 50 years, and I’m a sick person.”
Although the show ended in 1968, Burt reprized his role in The New Batman Adventures, Legends of Super-Heroes, Batman: Return of the Masked Crusaders and Batman vs. “Crisis on Infinite Earths” as well as a feature film.
Sadly, Burt’s classmate Adam West passed away in 2017, so he couldn’t share the experience with his trusted friend. However, Burt’s star sits alongside that of Adam, who was introduced to the actor in 2012.
