Virginia Padilla Robley from Mandaue City, Philippines is an elderly teacher who unfortunately fractured her left forearm. She was taken to the permanent aid hospital for treatment. She didn’t know that one of her former students was currently working there.
At the checkout after her treatment was over, she was about to pay when she saw the receipt. What was written on it was quite intimate.
Madame Robley’s physician and former student, Dr. Delbert Monist.

Her 22-year-old student, Dr. Dilbert Monist, wrote: “Mrs. Rupel, professional fees – paid 22 years ago (one of my favorite teachers!).”

What a pleasant surprise to find that a student who watched her during her teaching days treated her for free!
Ms Rupel, 64, posted the receipt on Facebook: “Just got this note from the nurses station. Thanks for the early Christmas present, Dr Dilbert Munist. Thanks for being there.”
Hôpital Perpétuel Secours also posted their article on their page and added, “PSH thanks Dr. Dilbert Monicit for the excellent care he provides to his patients. He truly embodied the true meaning of Christmas – a time to inspire people and a moment to express gratitude to those who have made a difference in our lives in more ways than one.”
There is no doubt that Ms. Rupel was a wonderful teacher who made a deep impression and lasting influence on her student over 20 years ago.
Her students are lucky to have her, and she, them.
