When you’re stuck indoors during the frigid winter months with ice and snow piling up outside, you can’t wait for spring to come. This perspective is also valid for animals. Spring fever is legal, particularly in places like the Netherlands, where there are about four million head of cattle; Half of them are dairy cows. Thanks to the torrential rains the region receives, its grassy pastures are covered in lush green grass, but when it gets cold, everything changes. Since it is very cold in Holland in winter, cattle must be pulled from their favorite pastures to roam around the stables where it is warm and where they receive a constant supply of hay.
