During the auditions for season 11 of the immensely popular reality competition, he decided to perform Queen’s “Somebody To Love,” drawing inspiration from his award-winning role as Galileo Figaro in the musical “We Will Rock You.”

Stepping in front of the judges, he faced the question from Cowell about who accompanied him. Though visibly nervous, he confidently responded that his mom was there, sending her a heartfelt greeting and wave.

He spoke lovingly about his mom, describing her as his rock, who had been a constant source of support throughout his life. They had faced challenges that kept them apart during his upbringing, but it only strengthened the special bond they shared.

As he began to sing the first notes of the song, it became evident that Crum epitomized everything that “America’s Got Talent” represents. His passionate delivery of the song’s notes left the audience eager to applaud before his performance even ended.

The judges were unequivocally impressed, unanimously granting him four empathetic yeses. The fairy tale moment culminated in a standing ovation from the audience. It was evident that all the sacrifices and perseverance Crum had endured had led him to this remarkable moment
