Now you must know the best part of this whole performance, which is the story behind Amira’s amazing voice. Her brother plays the violin and she wanted to do something special with him for Victoria Day.
So I searched YouTube for opera videos and spent days learning to sing…it’s amazing!
Take a look at the video below to see this incredible self-taught talent wow the judges with his stunning performance of “O Mio Babbino Caro” from Puccini’s opera Gianni Schicchi. You will be really surprised!
The jury (Gordon, Dan Carati and Chantal Janzen) were stunned and presented her with one of the “golden tickets”, which allowed the princess to go straight to the live performances. Gordon wasn’t the only one surprised to learn how self-taught he was. She had nothing to go through but recorded works that she listened to and sang over and over until she was part of it.
Gordon talks about the purity and beauty of her voice and how her singing spirit reminds her of the great Maria Callas.
Wow, this girl is definitely an old soul. Well done, princess. I did well!
