Victoria Jones’ Cause of Death Revealed: Tommy Lee Jones’ Daughter Dies from Accidental Overdose
Victoria Jones, the daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, has died from the toxic effects of cocaine, according to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in San Francisco, California.
Her death has been officially ruled an accident.

Victoria Jones, daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, was found unresponsive on the 14th floor of the Fairmont San Francisco Hotel in California during the early hours of New Year’s Day, January 1, 2026.
A hotel representative told Page Six, “We are deeply saddened by an incident that occurred at the hotel on Jan. 1, 2026. Our heartfelt condolences are with the family and loved ones during this very difficult time. The hotel team is actively cooperating and supporting police authorities within the framework of the ongoing investigation.”
The individual who discovered Victoria initially thought she had passed out from intoxication and alerted hotel staff. Paramedics arrived around 2:52 a.m. local time, but Victoria, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for the San Francisco Fire Department confirmed that bystanders were given instructions for CPR, according to CAD records.

Authorities from the San Francisco Police Department told the Daily Mail that they arrived at the Fairmont San Francisco Hotel at 3:14 a.m. local time. Police stated there was no suspicion of foul play, no drug paraphernalia at the scene, and no evidence suggesting suicide.
It remains unclear whether Victoria, who lived in San Antonio, Texas, was a hotel guest or how she accessed the 14th floor.
No foul play was suspected in Victoria Jones’ death.
However, dispatch audio revealed that authorities responded to the scene as a “code 3 for overdose, color change.” This term typically refers to cyanosis, a condition where the skin, lips, or fingernails turn blue due to a lack of oxygen in the blood, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
A representative for Tommy Lee Jones, 79, could not be reached for comment.
Victoria Jones, daughter of Tommy Lee Jones and Kimberlea Cloughley, had a brief acting career, appearing in her father’s films “Men in Black II”, “The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada” (2005), and “The Homesman” (2014).
Although she later stepped away from Hollywood, Victoria remained close to her father and supported him at several red carpet events.
Victoria also had a history of legal issues. According to court documents obtained by Page Six, she was arrested at least twice in 2025.
Over the past year, Victoria Jones faced several legal issues. In April 2025, she was arrested for obstructing a peace officer, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and possession of a narcotic controlled substance, to which she pleaded not guilty.
She was arrested again in June 2025 for domestic battery and domestic violence/elder abuse, also pleading not guilty.
Victoria also had a prior arrest in June 2011 in San Antonio, Texas, for theft of $50 to $500, though the charge was later dismissed, according to court records.
