He went on to explain that many of his family members would be present and that his children were worried because he was cooking. He told People that his daughters would bring extra dishes to go with the turkey. Duane opened up about how much her family loves to talk about what they’re grateful for in honor of Thanksgiving. He also explained that the prize awarded to a child satirist was the most difficult that year. The TV star said the award, titled Pothole of the Turkey, would go to Duane’s son Gary.
Fellowship created in Beth’s memory posthumously Doan shared a link in an Instastory from a post that Rainy Robinson, one of her characters, posted that day. The post was about the nonprofit founded in Beth Chapman’s honor and designed to help those pursuing a GED.
In September 2017, Beth Chapman, the beloved mother of the Bounty Hunter dog band, was diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer. Sadly, she passed away on June 26. Duane was hospitalized in September after experiencing heart complications.
However, he has told people that he has been feeling better since the ordeal, at least as far as his health is concerned. Of course, he still misses his wife very much. When he opened up about the event, he said he would never be the same emotionally again. He said the loss took a piece of his heart. However, he said it should still be as strong as “Daddy and the Dog”.

During the Dr. Oz Show broadcast, the dog learned that he had a pulmonary embolism in his heart. This is a condition in which one or more of the heart’s arteries are clogged with blood. Duane told People he was hesitant after hearing the news and didn’t want to go through all the pain caused by these horrific illnesses again. He said that for a while he didn’t care that anything happened. Now Duane said he cared.Duane and his family gave viewers of Dog’s Most Wanted a glimpse into the personal lives of the actors and their loved ones during Beth’s final days and shortly after. These moments were shared after the show ended. This included the incredibly emotional moments when Dog’s daughters Cecily, Bonnie and Lyssa cried after Beth’s death. Lyssa said it didn’t look real. Duan reminded People that even though the family was ready to lose, death was still hard. He said it doesn’t matter how prepared you are.

The Chapman family was sure to keep Beth’s memory alive. They honored her while meeting with fans and friends in Waikiki, Hawaii at Fort Deros Beach. A memorial service was also held in Aurora, Colorado at the Heritage Christian Church.
