Interestingly, during all this time, the two lovebirds were always thinking of each other. Howard eventually married but later divorced. In contrast, Mira remained single in her 40s. With just a stroke of luck, the two were reunited after more than four decades apart.
They met in a park in 2013 and quickly fell in love, The Associated Press reported. They finally had the chance to rekindle the old spark, and it made a huge difference. Two years later, they decided to get married and spend the rest of their lives together as it should have been from the first moment they saw each other.
Now that legal separation is no longer part of today’s society, Myra and Howard can enjoy their life together.
“Right now, it’s too much fun to be happy,” Howard told ABC 6 with a laugh.
