Mr. and Mrs. Kuroki were married in 1956. They lived a wonderful life, raising two children and running a successful dairy farm in Shintomi, Japan. However, suddenly everything changed. Their plans for retirement and travel to Japan are shattered when Ms. Kuroki loses her blindness. A complication of his diabetes, which prevents him from traveling.

Her husband knew she was completely depressed and he decided to do something to make her happy. He knew she liked the scent of her favorite flower, the shibazakura flower or the moss flower. He already had some in the garden, so he decided to grow more.

In two years, he planted thousands of flowers, all to please his wife. Not only was she encouraged by her favorite flower scent, but thousands of visitors to the garden also gave her members a chat to chat with. A decade after its cultivation, the dairy farm is still a major tourist attraction.

The couple’s barn is now home to their love affair and the farm expects around 7,000 visitors a day when the flowers are in bloom.
