Sometimes that sacrifice can be living conditions. For example, living with a dog may require some adjustments. They don’t always wake up when you do.
They are also very loud: they bark when they want to be let in, they bark when they want to be let out, and sometimes they only bark to bark. But once you bond with a dog, many people will say it has become their best friend. It is a bond that cannot be broken.
So when this guy received an ultimatum from his girlfriend – the dog or her – he made a surprising choice. He posted an ad on Craigslist in Roanoke, Va., titled “Free for anyone who wants to come home.”
According to Facts Verse, the ad begins like this:
“My girlfriend doesn’t like Beagle Molly, so I have to take her home.
She is purebred from a wealthy region and has a 4-year-old baby. She likes to play games. Not fully formed. She has long hair so it needs a bit of maintenance, especially the nails, but she loves doing it.”
She had a picture of her dog Molly. At first, she thinks it’s an announcement to give up her pet.
“He stays up all night sleeping but I sleep while I work. He only eats the best and most expensive food.
I will never greet you at the door after a long day or give you unconditional love when you are down. Don’t bite, but it could mean hell! ”
For someone trying to give up on their dog, that just doesn’t make them very attractive.
“So…anyone care about my selfish, evil, gold-mining girlfriend of 30 years?” Asked. “Come get him! My dog and I want him rehomed ASAP!!”
