Spirit Week is a much-anticipated event for students, and this year, it was taken to a whole new level at Lake Mary High School in Seminole County, Florida. With themed-outfits, crazy hair, performances, and guest speakers, the entire student body had a blast. And what made it even more memorable was when the school principal, Reynolds, joined the step team for the pep rally show.
Reynolds, who graduated from Lake Mary High School in 1986, has a history with the school that goes beyond being the principal. Her father was the first principal of the school, so it’s safe to say that she’s following in her parent’s footsteps. And as a former dance participant and coach of two step teams, Reynolds was eager to perform with the team for the pep rally.
She approached the team’s coach, Kelly Lupis, with the idea, and Lupis was all for it. Reynolds quickly got to work, rehearsing with the team and perfecting her steps. And when the day of the pep rally arrived, the principal didn’t disappoint. She strutted her stuff, showing off her dance moves alongside the team and causing a scene in the best way possible.
The students were ecstatic to see their principal in action, and it was evident that Reynolds was having a blast, too. The performance was a testament to the school’s spirit and unity, and it was clear that everyone was proud to be part of such a fantastic community. With this kind of leadership and enthusiasm, there’s no doubt that Lake Mary High School will continue to thrive and inspire its students for years to come.
In the end, Spirit Week was a huge success, thanks in no small part to Reynolds’ participation in the pep rally show. Her performance was the highlight of the event, and it’s safe to say that it will be remembered for years to come. Who knows? Maybe Reynolds will make it a tradition to join the step team every year. One thing is for sure; Spirit Week will never be the same again
