Many animal shelters across the world are overflowing with dogs that had been abandoned by their former owners. So why do people drop their pets off at shelters? the most common reasons are because their place of residence does not allow pets, or the pup has behavioral issues but the most unbelievable reason is laziness. or when the owner just doesn’t want to take care of the dog anymore.

When most of people think that it’s no big deal, seeing the animal’s reaction after getting dumped will break your heart. One of these many dogs that were surrendered to a dog shelter by their families is the 4-year-old Pit Bull named Electra. The heart-wrenching reaction Electra had when she realized she has been left behind has thousands of people weeping.

The video was taken and shared on Facebook by Lolys Menchaka who is an animal activist in California. She has kept the public updated on Electra including the fact that she has been ADOPTED! What a good news!

“ELECTRA represents the face of sadness and reality in the shelters. Sometimes I would like to understand owners surrendering their animals and I don’t like to judge them but when you see how the dogs come to the receiving department with their happy faces and they stand all proud I just can’t understand..” – Lolys Menchaka
