There are a lot of things that come to one’s mind when the farming and treacherous breeding rings are mentioned. Some develop a picture of puppy mills, chicken or even cows. If you have never known, horses are being bred out there by people with bad intentions and left to die.

The reason behind it? Horse racing events have been given the blame. Whenever a bet is placed on a horse racing event, innocent colts’ death and breeding operations are supported. Since horse racing is associated with lot of money, breeders do their best to get many foals from the mares as much as possible.

It’s common knowledge that a mature mare cannot manage to nurse a newborn and at the same time have a foal. That’s where the biggest evil sets in – the colts are kept around until valuable amounts of milk is produced by their mothers and then the thoroughbreds are brought in.

All horses cannot have that ability to participate in competitive racing and that means one thing- doom awaits them! One woman named Victoria Goss is working hard to save the babies from the eminent death. She has been doing this for quite some time and in 2008 she formed the Last Chance Corral. It’s an organization that provides a home to the rescued babies.

She has covered all this in the amazing video below.
