The day Orfanidou saw Billy on the train tracks in Greece, she couldn’t believe that a dog could look so miserable. Billy was about to die!
The dog was malnourished, infected with diseases, and sad. The lady knew she had to take him away from all this misery and try to bring him back to the real, happy world. Orfanidou runs “The Orphan Pet,” a pet rescue organization that rescues stray pets and nurtures them into healthy and adoptable pets.
This time around, she had quite a task to accomplish. She would check on Billy over 10 times a day. She would feed him, change his diapers and sheets, treat him, and pet him. It took weeks before she could even touch him without wearing gloves. The dog was in a serious health condition!
