In January 2023, NBC Boston reported an unexpected sight: Ben Affleck and Lopez were spotted working at a coffee chain. Affleck manned the counter, taking orders, while Lopez dashed through the drive-thru for her glazed donut fix.

According to PEOPLE, Dunkin’ capitalized on the moment with an online post: “SOMETHING’S BEN BREWING,” a playful twist on the word “been.” Fans caught on quickly.

Then, on Feb. 12, 2023, it all made sense – the duo starred in a hilarious Dunkin’ Donuts Super Bowl commercial. Airing during the football game, it became an instant fan favorite.

In the ad, Affleck effortlessly took orders, surprising customers at the drive-thru window. Even his own wife couldn’t resist, though Affleck humorously questioned if this was what he meant by “going to work.” “You’re embarrassing me in front of my friends,” he quipped, as Lopez couldn’t resist snagging a donut.

Dunkin’ shared multiple clips from the commercial on Instagram, with captions like, “they say go big or go home so Ben went big and came home to Massachusetts,” and “I cahaaaaant believe it’s you.”

Fans flooded the comments section with laughter, some even adding their own humorous takes. One wrote, “One of my favorite deleted scenes from Good Will Hunting.”
